A former Monroe County deputy is facing sexual assault charges in a case out of La Crosse County.
Prosecutors filed charges against 29-year-old Aaron Yang last month, he was in court to answer those charges yesterday. He’s accused of having sex with a then-16-year-old last year. The victim told investigators he asked her to babysit his daughter at his apartment in La Crosse. La Crosse Police started investigating the case in May, he was arrested in June, and he resigned from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office two weeks after his arrest.
The sheriff in Monroe County says they’ve launched an investigation of their own.
