Murder Suspect Held on $10 Million Bond

The suspect in last week’s murder in Columbia County is being held on ten million-dollars bond.

A judge yesterday said Jonathan Luna is a flight risk, and cannot simply be released on a signature bond. Police in Columbus say Luna got into a fight with two men at a bar early in the morning on July 4th. They say he went home, grabbed his gun, waited, and then started shooting. He shot and killed one of the two. Investigators say he then bought a bus ticket to Texas and tried to flee. Luna is due back in court next month.
