A man wanted out of Wisconsin for three decades is under arrest in Iowa.
George Hartleroad was arrested on June 26 in West Des Moines, after he was stopped by police for not having a reflector on his bike. He was homeless at the time and had been wanted by Wisconsin law enforcement since 1994. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections says he served five years in prison and was in a halfway house but escaped. He’s awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.
