Elk Hunters Selected

Eight Wisconsinites will be able to hunt elk during the 2024 season, which starts in October.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says four of the hunters will be able to hunt in the Black River Elk Zone. It’s the first year the zone has been available since elk were reintroduced in Wisconsin. More than 17-thousand hunters sent in applications, and winners were chosen at random.
