We now know the name of the Sergeant arrested after an investigation related to crimes against children.

On June 12, 2024, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant in the Village Of Spencer with the assistance of the Wisconsin Department Of Criminal Investigations ( DCI) and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office. The search warrant was the result of an ongoing Internet Crimes Against Children ( ICAC) investigation. The suspect was identified as a Sergeant with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of the investigation and search warrant the suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Taylor County Jail on charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child , Child Enticement, Threats to Injure or Accuse of Crime, and Threats to Communicate Derogatory Information. A bond hearing was held, and the suspect was released on a $2500 dollar cash bond along with a $10,000 dollar signature bond.
The name of the Clark County Sergeant is 38-year-old Jeremy D. Chapman of Spencer Wi.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has been fully cooperating with the investigation.
