There are rumblings that Trump called Milwaukee a ‘horrible city’ and now politicians react.
Familiar name to our area, Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden yesterday said the former president was talking about the horrible crime in Milwaukee, while Representative Bryan Steil said Trump didn’t say the comment at all.
Overall, Wisconsin Republicans are defending Donald Trump after it was reported he criticized Milwaukee during a closed-door conference meeting on Capitol Hill. Punchbowl News reported that Trump called Milwaukee a “horrible city.”
This comes as Milwaukee is set to host the Republican National Convention next month.
