Madison Ranked High for Pedestrian Safety

Madison is one of the safest places for people who are walking or riding their bikes.

The group Smart Growth America is out with its latest pedestrian safety rankings, and Madison is ranked second in the nation. Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway says the ranking shows that Madison’s focus on Complete Streets is paying off. The report compares cities based on the number of pedestrians who are hit and killed. Madison is the second safest city in the report. Only Provo, Utah is safer. The report says Memphis, Tennessee, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Tucson, Arizona are the most dangerous cities in America for pedestrians. You can CLICK HERE FOR MORE.
