A man in Dane County will go to prison for 14 years for shooting a police officer.
Prosecutors say 22-year-old Jeremy Wilz tried to rob a liquor store in Marshall last summer. Officers arrived and were chasing him when Wilz shot the officer. The officer survived. Wilz will also have ten years of probation once his sentence is complete.
