Fifty dollars and a hog. That likely wouldn’t get you a truck off the lot today, but for this week’s Friday Feel Good we put it in reverse, back to the 50’s when a man had a truck and one that he loved to drive.
A guy in Missouri surprised his grandpa by fixing up his old 1954 pickup and the two were soon driving it for the first time in four decades, no doubt talking about the original price tag, “$50 and a hog.”
It might take a lot more out of the “piggy bank” to pay for a new truck today, but of course, the gesture is priceless.
