Nobody was injured in a house fire and the cause remains under investigation after Marshfield Fire and Rescue responded with 11 personnel to a report of a house fire.
When fire units arrived on scene, black smoke was seen coming from open windows and doors of the house. Contact was made with the homeowner who stated everyone was out of the house and believes the fire is in the basement. Additional manpower and Central RIT were requested. Interior attack crews made entry into the house finding heavy smoke with zero visibility. An interior crew made their way to the
basement and found the seat of the fire while another interior attack crew found a small fire on the
floor of the 1 st floor. Both fires were quickly extinguished.
