Patriotism Stretches Across WI, Fallen Military Members Honored

It was a patriotic Monday across Wisconsin as everyone from Governor Tony Evers to neighbors marked Memorial Day.

The governor took to Twitter to honor military service members who died while serving our country. He said we owe a debt of gratitude to those who laid down their lives to protect and secure our freedoms.

On that note, The Wall That Heals is in southeast Wisconsin for the next week. The Wall  is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington. It travels across the country, and starting today, it will be traveling to the Village of Hartland for its only stop in Wisconsin this year. The Wall is transported in a specialized 53-foot semi truck, and Vietnam Vets on motorcycles will escort the truck into Hartland, motorcade style, on Highway 83 between 1pm-2pm.  You can see the Wall on display at Nixon Park in Hartland around the clock, through June 2nd.
