The fight at the Wisconsin Capitol over 125 million-dollars for PFAS clean continues to be all about finger-pointing.
Governor Tony Evers yesterday called for a special meeting of the legislature’s Joint Finance Committee, then blasted Republican members for not giving him 125 million-dollars to spend on PFAS clean-up. Those Republicans, however, said Governor Evers is to blame. State Representative Mark Born said the governor vetoed the plan to spend that 125 million on clean-up because he didn’t like the clause that protected innocent landowners from expensive fines. Born says the governor has no one to blame but himself.
