Wisconsin’s governor is once again demanding that the Republican-controlled legislature give him 125 million-dollars for PFAS pollution.
The governor has scheduled a special meeting for the legislature’s Joint Finance Committee today. The committee is already scheduled to meet to hear budget requests from several different state agencies. The governor wants them to consider his request as well. He is likely to be disappointed. The Republicans who control the JFC have made it clear that Governor Evers vetoed the plan to spend that PFAS money.
They say they are not going to give him what they call a ‘slush fund.’
