Students are returning to Mount Horeb schools today after a shooting threat last week.
Last Wednesday morning, a 14-year-old boy was found on the middle school’s campus with what police say was a pellet gun that looked like a rifle. They asked him to drop the weapon and he refused. Officers then shot and killed the teen. Classes were canceled last Thursday and Friday to train educators on how to best help their students. The community hosted vigils and church services as a response.
