The “most exciting two minutes in sports” is here as the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby takes place today at Churchill Downs in Louisville.
The current favorite Fierceness will start from the 17th post position, while second-favorite Sierra Leone is starting out of the number-two gate. Fierceness is running at five-to-two odds, Sierra Leone at three-to-one. For those who like betting on the longshot, West Saratoga, Grand Mo The First and Society Man are running at 50-to-one. A total of 20 horses are entered in this year’s field.
