Folks in Altoona could soon be paying more for water.
Altoona’s Municipal Water and Sewer Utility this week asked the Wisconsin Public Service Commission for permission to raise water rates. The city says it needs the price hike to keep-up with expenses. Altoona last raised its water rates back in 2015. The proposed price hike would raise over a half-million dollars a-year. That comes to an extra eight dollars per-month per-customer.
