A stolen car case from 1999 is finally over, thanks to the Wisconsin DNR and some satellite images.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office says it pulled the car, a Lincoln Town Car, out of Lake Holcombe yesterday. The car was underwater for 20 years. The sheriff’s office says the car is not connected to any current investigations. There’s no word if investigators are still looking for whoever stole the car 25 years ago, or if the owner wants it.
