The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley and Triangle2 Solutions will perform a community interest assessment to test demand for a YMCA in Menomonie, WI.
Over 400 homes throughout the Menomonie service area will be called in the coming weeks. Residents will be randomly selected to participate in a phone survey, and current YMCA members that reside in the Menomonie area will be emailed an online survey to insure all who are interested get to give their feedback. The survey will launch the week of April 24, with preliminary results later in May.
The data from the market study will provide insight into the needs and wants of the community in terms of facilities and programs. The data from the market study will be used to:
To determine the gaps in health and recreation services currently in the community.
To provide relative interest in major facility features, programs, and curriculum.
To determine the range of membership and program fees residents are willing to pay.
To project the number of new members and program participants the center can expect.
To test potential locations and how they will impact demand.
“Our YMCA continues to seek ways to ensure our programs and services are accessible to all. Our goal is to understand the needs of the communities within our area and determine how our organization can help answer the call. Collecting the data and voice of the residents in Menomonie is the logical next step in this process for our team,” shared Derek White, President & CEO, YMCA of the Chippewa Valley.
