Eau Claire County is looking to add hundreds of miles to its ATV trails.
The county is moving ahead with a plan to allow people to drive their ATVs or UTV on county roads. Highway commissioner Jon Johnson says the new plan will open-up 75 percent of the county’s roads to ATV and UTV. Currently ATV drivers can use just about a third of county roads. Johnson says it will take til later this summer to open the roads, and he says any road that does not have a specific ATV/UTV sign will not be open for drivers and their four-wheelers.
