Officer Breidenbach Remembered

Police in Chetek unveiled their memorial to Officer Emily Breidenbach yesterday.

The memorial marked the one year anniversary of Breidenbach’s death in the line of duty. The flame-shaped black stone sits in front of the Chetek Police Department. Chief Ron Ambrozaitis says Breidenbach’s death changed Chetek’s police department, and changed the officers forever. She was killed in a shootout with a suspect one year ago yesterday.
