Action From WI Lawmakers News | April 1, 2024 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy It was a Friday full of vetoes from Wisconsin’s governor. Governor Tony Evers on Friday vetoed 40 different proposals from Wisconsin Republicans. They cover everything from a tax cut for retirees, to a plan that would have allowed school districts to hire superintendents who were not educators. The governor did sign 16 new state laws. Those include new rules for urgent care centers in the state, as well as new fees for video or audio recordings from local governments, and some technical changes to the state’s retirement system.
