The heavy rain and snow in Wisconsin over the past week have put many areas above average for rain so far this year.
The National Weather Service says Madison is a little more than an inch above average, same for Eau Claire. Much of the state had drought conditions since 2022. Last year, all 72 counties in Wisconsin were in drought. This is the first time since 2022 March rain totals have been above average.
