A jury has cleared the state DCI investigator who shot a Madison drug suspect back in 2022.
It took the jury less than two hours to find DCI agent Mark Wagner not guilty of second-degree recklessly endangering safety. Wagner shot Quadren Wilson during a drug bust on Madison’s east side in February of 2022. Police at the time thought Wilson was going for a gun, it turned-out he was unarmed. Wilson was wounded in the shooting, and later pleaded guilty to drug charges.
