A new analysis says the University of Wisconsin-Madison is the most selective college or university in the state.
Data for the analysis, developed from The Business Journal, used figures from the U.S. Department of Education. UW-Madison’s acceptance rate last year was just over 49 percent while ultimately more than 29 percent of those accepted enrolled. UW-Madison was followed by UW-La Crosse, the Milwaukee School of Engineering and UW-Eau Claire in the average rankings for state colleges.
