A woman who was convicted in a chain of cemetery thefts is under arrest after failing to arrive for her 60-day jail sentence.
Carrie Thompson’s sentence was supposed to start on January 27, and a warrant was issued for her arrest when she didn’t show — she was arrested yesterday. Now she’s facing a felony charge for not going to county jail in addition to her convictions for stealing sentimental items from people’s gravesites. Along with her jail sentence, Thompson will have 720 hours of community service to complete.
