Parks and Recreation is removing the playground structure in Marshfield’s Braem Park due to deteriorating conditions. In 2023, we it was discovered a few major broken and deteriorated pieces and have received citizens’ concerns about the poor condition.
Since the playground in the park will be replaced in 2025, officials have decided to remove it now and not spend money on fixing the current structure. The cost estimates are at $10,000 to replace the broken pieces and it was determined as is that the playground structure is unsafe and needs to be removed. The hope to have a brand-new larger playground installed next year to complement all of the renovations taking place in the park.
