A traffic stop leads to a 7th OWI for an Eau Claire man.
Pao Chou Hang, 37 years of age, from Eau Claire has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 7th offense.
On Friday, January 26, 2024, at approximately 10:44 PM a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper conducted a traffic stop on US 12 in the city of Eau Claire for an equipment violation. The Trooper observed signs of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests, showed the driver, Pao Chou Hang from Eau Claire, WI, was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant 7th offense. Mr. Hang was arrested and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood and then to the Eau Claire County Jail.
