Hanging Up the Skates for the Season

Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry announced that the outdoor skating rinks and warming shelters at Boyd, Roosevelt, Pinehurst and Putnam Heights are closed for the season due to the warm temperatures and unsafe ice conditions. With the forecasted continuation of warm weather well into February, the rinks will continue to deteriorate too far to be able to rejuvenate before spring if the weather does change again.

For anyone looking to get some skating time regardless of the weather, Hobbs Ice Arena has a variety of public open skating times available. Please view our Hobbs Skating opportunities right on the City Website at WITH AN EASY CLICK HERE.
