The latest plan from Wisconsin lawmakers to spell-out parents’ rights in the state is headed for a veto.
Republicans in the State Assembly approved the plan yesterday. It states that parents are the ones who get to make medical and educational choices for their kids, not schools or the state government. Democrats object to the plan because it says parents can decide what name their child uses at school. Some Democrats say that’s anti-LGBTQ.
Governor Evers has already promised to veto the plan.
