There are four candidates to become Chippewa Falls’ next police chief.
The city yesterday said John Beyer, who is a sergeant at the Bloomer Police Department, Colin Mumford, who is the current police chief in Fall Creek, and Chippewa Falls officers Ryan Douglas and Sheridan Pabst all made the short list. Current Chippewa Falls chief Matt Kelm announced his resignation back in November. His last day will be sometime next month.
