Two Wisconsin task forces have joined together to combat human trafficking in the state’s Indigenous communities.
The Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives task forces will be working together on the efforts. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul says they’ll be working to identify victims of labor exploitation and prosecute offenders. He says they’ll also be analyzing barriers that keep victims from getting help. The Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force will be funded for three years.
