Grant Money Set for Recovery Programs

Wisconsin is getting 750-thousand dollars in grant money to provide safe housing to people with opioid addictions.

Governor Tony Evers says the money is coming from the Recovery Voucher Program, which was developed in 2022 and helped 150 people with its initial, two-million dollar investment. Evers says money will go to seven existing partnerships provide services statewide. The Recovery Voucher Program is funded with the McKinsey and Company Opioid Settlement Funds, which totaled eleven-million dollars.
