The Red Cross yesterday said blood donations are at a 20 year low. Dr. Eric Gehrie says the situation is dire as we head into the depth of the winter season. He says all blood types are needed, but Type O blood is needed most. The Red Cross says the number of blood donors across the country has dropped by 40 percent over the past 20 years.
