Johnsonville Announces Closure

News | January 4, 2024 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy
Johnsonville Announces Closure

Hundreds of people at one of Johnsonville’s plants in Sheboygan County will  be out of a job by the end of the year.

The company yesterday said it is closing its Meadowside plant in Sheboygan Falls.  Currently, 390 people work at the plant, and Johnsonville says they will all keep their jobs through at least June.  Johnsonville says the plant is closing because the company bought another packer, Salm Partners.  There is no word just when the plant will close, but the company says workers will be given stay-on bonuses to work til June, and that Johnsonville will try and find jobs at other plants for the workers at Meadowside.
