Livestream Coming to Hobbs

Eau Claire is inching closer to livestream video out of the Hobbs Center.

The city’s parks and rec department is working on a deal to install cameras, and set-up a feed. Parks and rec Manager Patrick Newkirk says the idea is allow parents and grandparents to watch their kids skate or play hockey without having to come all the way to Eau Claire, or even come across town. The rinks in Altoona, Chippewa Falls, and Menominee already have livestream feeds available for families. Newkirk says he hopes to have the cameras in place in Eau Claire by the start of the next hockey season.
