President Joe Biden is in Milwaukee today to speak on the country’s economy and Black-owned small businesses.
Biden was hosted by the Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce. During his speech, which was live-streamed on C-SPAN, Biden says a record 15-million new small business registrations were filed since 2020. He said this led to the largest increase in Black business-ownership in 30 years.
Biden went on to speak about the 130-million dollars Wisconsin is getting to replace lead pipes within the next ten years. He says it’s an effort to both save lives and create work opportunities for local, small businesses across Wisconsin.
