MKE Sees Violent Weekend

Milwaukee Police are investigating a number of shootings yesterday that left five people wounded.

The first occurred yesterday before dawn at 37th and Glendale. The 41-year-old victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Another happened about two o-clock yesterday afternoon at Capitol and Appleton when a 31-year-old was shot and suffered non life-threatening injuries. Police are looking into the possibility the shooting resulted from road rage. An attempted robbery near 26th and Walnut left a 23-year-old wounded from a gunshot. And a double-shooting near 101st and Mill sent two people — a 25- and a 33-year-old — to the hospital with non-fatal injuries.

Additionally, Milwaukee Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left two people dead. The shooting occurred shortly after midnight near 20th and Locust. Two gunshot victims were found and one was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was rushed to a hospital where they were pronounced dead. Police have released no other details yet.
