We’re waiting for a glimpse at what the next few years will look like for the University of Wisconsin. 

UW President Jay Rothman is scheduled to speak at a Wisconsin Policy Forum meeting later today about the future for UW schools.  Rothman has said for years that the university is in a ‘war for talent.’  But he’s also been very clear about the financial challenges the university faces.  Last spring, he said all but three UW campuses would be losing money by the end of this school year.  He’s also been very vocal about the enrollment challenges at some UW campuses.
