Microsoft’s next data center is a big step closer to being built.
Racine County’s board last night unanimously agreed to Microsoft’s plan to buy one thousand more acres of land at the Foxconn site. Leaders in Mount Pleasant signed off on the deal on Monday. Microsoft originally bought 315 acres in May, and recently said it wanted more. The plan is to invest more than two-billion dollars in data centers at the Mount Pleasant site by 2026.
