Wisconsin lawmakers are looking to make it illegal not to accept cash at most stores.
An Assembly panel is holding a hearing on the idea tomorrow. The idea, supporters say, is to make sure that people who don’t like to or don’t carry cards with them can still buy what they need. The idea came after complaints that post-COVID, some places are no longer taking cash.
