Teens Honored for Saving a Life

Four teenage lifeguards from Rock County are being honored by the Red Cross for saving a life.

The Red Cross yesterday gave Madisyn Kail, Tyra Legman, Addison Swan, and Jaelyn Hillard the Lifesaving Award for Professional Responders award for saving a boy from drowning at the pool in Brodhead in June. The Lifesaving Award is the highest award that the Red Cross can bestow. The girls’ Red Cross instructor nominated them. He said to see them act so quickly, and at their age, was incredible.
