Memorial Honors Parade Victims

News | November 22, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy
Memorial Honors Parade Victims

There is now a permanent memorial to remind the people of Waukesha about those who died in the attack on the Christmas Parade two years ago.

The city yesterday dedicated a memorial to the six people who were killed when Darrell Brooks Jr. sped through the parade crowd back in 2021. It’s the first of two permanent memorials to the Waukesha parade. The youngest victim, eight-year-old Jackson Sparks’ mother Sheri was among those who spoke. Governor Evers ordered flags across the state to fly lower in honor of the victims, and to mark the two-year anniversary of the attack.
