On Sunday, November 19th, at approximately 6:42 PM, A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on STH 35 at Main Avenue in Lewis. The Trooper observed that the driver, 59 year old Timothy H Ainley, showed signs of impairment.
A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Mr. Ainley was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. He was subsequently arrested and charged with operating while under the influence of an intoxicant- 4th offense while having minor passengers in the vehicle and violating protection injunctions.
The five and eight-year-old passengers were turned over to a sober family member.
