Wisconsin’s biggest business group is weighing in on the court fight over school choice in the state.
Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce this week filed a brief with the Wisconsin Supreme Court, asking the court to reject the lawsuit that seeks to end school choice and school vouchers in Wisconsin. WMC says thousands of families across the state will be ‘devastated’ if school choice comes to an end. The group is also arguing that any challenge should first go to a local court, and not directly to the new liberal-majority state supreme court.
Activist and progressive candidate Kirk Bagnstad filed the lawsuit, which claims school choice hurts Wisconsin’s traditional public schools and is unconstitutional.
