Aztalan State Park in Jefferson County is getting 300-thousand dollars in federal grant money.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the money will go toward preservation projects such as removing hazardous trees, structural repairs, and invasive plant control. The park is made up of the remains of a Native American village the DNR says was at its peak from 1000 to 1300 AD.
