A clash of the nation’s top volleyball squads is removing Wisconsin from the top of the podium.
The number-one Wisconsin women lost to number-two Nebraska in five sets yesterday evening in Lincoln. The Badgers’ defeat breaks up a string of 10 straight wins against the Cornhuskers, including the 2021 national championship. The loss also snaps Wisconsin’s school-record streak of 27-straight Big Ten victories. Nebraska moves to the top of the conference standings at 19-and-oh, while Wisconsin’s record gets its first blemish falling to 18-and-1. Now looking ahead, the Badgers visit Michigan State Friday night.
