The WI State Patrol and deputies from the Dunn County Sheriffs Office responded to a semi versus car crash on STH 29 near 970th Street. Preliminary information was believed that a 2004 Saturn Ion was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it struck a westbound semi unit. The female operator and lone occupant of the Saturn was deceased at the scene.
The semi traveled through the median, across the eastbound lanes and into the south ditch where it jackknifed and came to rest. The operator of the semi unit was transported to an area hospital with
non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
