Zoo Looks to Upgrades for Rhino’s

Not everyone on the Milwaukee County Board is excited about the plan to replace the zoo’s rhino exhibit.

Supervisors yesterday got to look at the 16-million-dollar price tag for the project. The zoo would pay another six-million, but the bulk of the money would come from Milwaukee County taxpayers. Supervisor Steve Taylor says it is a lot of money, and says the county is not made of money, but also said the conditions of the current rhino exhibit are pretty bad.  The plan now heads for the full County board, and a vote there.
