The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is giving the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office 350-thousand dollars to address opioid usage.
The money will be used for medication-assisted treatment training, programs for keeping opioid users out of jail, and community drug disposal programs. Five other agencies across Wisconsin are also getting get financial support from the grant.
