There is a call for an audit of American Family Field and the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District ahead of the new funding deal for the Brewers’ ballpark.
Senator Rob Cowles yesterday said that the state looked into the finances at Lambeau Field before okaying the Brown County sales tax that helped pay for renovations there. He said it only makes sense to do the same thing for American Family Field. Cowles says taxpayers are promising a ‘massive economic commitment’ that stretches several decades, he said taking a look at the Baseball District would help lawmakers make a more informed decision.
